Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Syllabus: The basic objective of BCA is to open a channel of admission for computing courses for students, who have done the 10+2 and are interested in taking computing as a career. Its design is based on the BDP program of the IGNOU, with a special focus on computer application and possibly of moving on to an MCA after completing the BCA. With the Core Courses (Operating System, Computer Networks, Databases, Data Structures, etc), IGNOU also offers some Professional Courses like Java, JSP, DHTML, ASP, Windows NT, UNIX (Linux), Oracle, MS Access, Assembly Language Programming and C / C++. Besides, Bachelors of Computer Applications (Students) from IGNOU are placed in top IT companies that lead numbers of students to enroll for IGNOU BCA course in each semester.
Eligibility for BCA in IGNOU: The candidate applying for BCA should have 10+2 with Mathematics as a distinct subject. Those who have not studied mathematics at 10+2 level will have to register for MTE-03. Such students have to successfully complete MTE-03 before registering for the 3rd semester of the BCA program.
